Chapter 68

Jon could feel Katie shaking as he held her tightly against his body, her wet tears soaking his shirt. Thank God, he said to himself. He couldn't remember ever having such a case of nerves, except maybe years ago waiting for word on their first record deal or maybe their debut show of the first headlining tour. It just goes to prove, he thought, it doesn't matter what I accomplish in this life, it is nothing without love.

Katie hung onto Jon tightly, her tears coming to a halt. Not able to form a coherent thought, she looked up at him, seeing her own emotions mirrored in his eyes.

"Baby, you have just made me the happiest man on the face of the earth." He choked, overwhelmed with emotion.

She let out a long sigh, "Dang, cowboy. You sure do know how to render a girl speechless." She said, between sniffles.

He looked down at her, stroking her hair, "Happy, baby?"

She let out a laugh, "Uh, yeah. Happier than I can even find words for."

Jon looked around, spotting a box of tissues on the table. He grabbed the whole box and offered her one. She took it gratefully and blew her nose, thinking, what a sight she must he.

As if he was in her head, Jon said, "You're so beautiful, baby."

He saw past the smudged mascara trails running down her cheeks, seeing only everything beautiful in his life. Nothing could take away the pure joy he was feeling at the moment. Jon sat back down and Katie followed suit. She was afraid if she didn't her legs would buckle under her. They could hear voices outside the door as the band and stage hands mulled around, the stage staff heading out to pack up. There was a light knock on the door bringing them both back to reality. Jon choose to ignore it, but Katie knew they wouldn't be left alone for long, so went over to the mirror and tried to fix her make up as best as she could. There was another knock, this time a little more insistent. Most of the band and staff knew if he didn't want to be bothered he wouldn't answer, so the second knock was not followed by another. She sat back down with him, looking a little less smudged and tear stained.

Jon, realizing they would have to let the world back in soon, asked, "Kat, will you come back to the hotel with me tonight?"

Amazed that he even thought he had to ask, she chuckled, "You are all mine tonight, cowboy. I ain't going anywhere." She said, tinged with a southern drawl.
"I told mom I wouldn't be back tonight. They can all just wait until tomorrow."

Smiling, Jon said, "I can't wait to have you all to myself. I never want to share, but tonight I just refuse." he winked, "I better open the door or they will may call in the fire department or something. You ok?" He asked.

She nodded, with one more blow of the nose. Dang, why do I always cry when I get emotional? She thought, happy or sad, doesn't matter.

Outside David went in search of Richie, wondering what was up with Jon not opening the door when he had knocked. He figured Katie was in there, but had no clue what they would be up to literally two minutes after the show was over.

Spotting Richie he went over, "Richie, what's up with Jon? He didn't open the door when I knocked." David asked, slightly annoyed. He wanted to tell Jon to give a bit more notice than a minute before springing a song on them they didn't play often.

Richie answered with a huge grin on his face, "Dave, the Kidd is a little busy. Think about it......." He said, slapping David good-naturedly on the shoulder.

David shook his head, blond curls bouncing, "Busy, my ass! What was up with that last minute change to the set-list........." He stopped, his mouth forming a big O. "No! He didn't!" he exclaimed, looking at Richie nodding."Oh MAN! That devil. Well, I'll be damned!" David shook his head as it sunk in. "Man, good for him. I was wondering how long it was going to take him." he laughed.

Richie warned, "Don't say anything to Becca if you talk to her."

"No worries, man. No worries." Dave assured him as he walked away, chuckling to himself.

Out of the corner of his eye Richie noticed the door to Jon's dressing room open, Jon came out, alone. The smiles he had seen on the Kidd the last couple of weeks were nothing compared to the joy on his face now. Katie took a few minutes to freshen up before joining him.

"Hey, man." He said, slapping Jon on the back. He smiled at Jon, waiting.

"Hey." Jon said, running his hand through his hair, looking around.

"Hey." Richie said again, a goofy grin on his face.

Jon looked at him, "What?" Jon said, knowing Richie knew something was up.

Richie leaned in close to Jon's ear. "So? What'd she say?" his voice low.

Jon realized he must be pretty transparent. Not to mention Richie knew him better than anyone. Jon looked around, looking like he got caught in the cookie jar. A small smirk on his lips he said, "Yes. She said yes!"

Unable to contain his excitement for his dear friend, he yelled. "No way!! Man, that is just awesome!!" He grabbed Jon giving him a big hug. His reaction caused people to see what the commotion was all about.

Jon lowered his voice, "Thanks, man. I am walking on air. Can you keep it hush, though? Katie isn't used to all the attention and for tonight I just want to keep things quiet."

Richie figured he owed him that, "You got it, Kidd. And hey, have fun!" he said, with one last slap on Jon's back as he made his exit.

Jon turned around to go back to his dressing room just as Katie came out, looking refreshed and happy. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, "What do you say we get out of here, baby?"

"I would love that, cowboy." She said, looking at him, her face beaming. He pulled her back into the dressing room to get a few things before they left the arena. He gave a quick call to Christoph, then changed into jeans. The black SUV was waiting for them at the side entrance as they tried to leave without being noticed. A few fans pushed forward as the door opened, flashes going off as they yelled to Jon. He pulled Katie quickly into the backseat with him where they were hidden from view behind the tinted windows.

As they left the arena in the background, he turned to her, his face unsure. "Kat, are you sure? My life can get pretty crazy." He asked, searching her eyes for any doubt. "I don't expect you to give up everything, or totally change your life for me. But it will change to an extent, no way around it."

Katie put her hand on his cheek, speaking softly, "Jon, I expect that. We'll figure it out. I'm not going anywhere." She assure him. "I understand things will change. As long as we are together, we will find our way. Together. Ok?"

Her words soothing any doubt he had, he kissed her deeply, then said, "You make me feel like anything is possible, Kat."

They pulled up to the hotel and exited the SUV, not seeing any fans in waiting. They had left the arena so quickly they seemed to have beat the swarm. Jon guided her swiftly into the hotel, waiting impatiently for the elevator. As soon as the doors closed behind them he backed her up against the elevator wall, covering her mouth with his. He couldn't wait to make love to her, to claim her as his future wife. Despite the fact he knew he would now spend the rest of his living days with her, that fact did nothing to quell his urgent need.

The elevator door opened and they stumbled out into the hallway, not bothering to check for anyone lurking in the hall. Jon raced through the hall to the penthouse door, dragging her, laughing, with him. Thankful that they had a few days break from the road, Jon put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, latched it and picked her up, carrying her to the bedroom. This was no night for taking his time, he threw his jacket off and crawled on the bed, leaning over her, devouring her mouth with his. Katie responded in kind by plunging her fingers in his hair and pulling him as close as she could. Their breath quickened as their desire grew. Katie fumbled with the last remaining buttons on Jon's shirt, still damp with his sweat from the performance. She thought nothing of it as they popped clean off his shirt. Equally as ravenous for her, he pulled her tank out of her belt, pushing it up to her neck, his hands aching to touch her breasts. Breaking their kiss for a second she pulled the tank over her head and tossed it, taking no notice to its resting place. Not patient, Jon grasped at her bra, trying to remove the final layer. Helping him, she wiggled out of it somehow, the clasps still fastened. Feeling her erect nipples against his chest only fueled his desire more. Katie grabbed at his jeans, undoing the button and zipper in record time. As Jon sat up pushing the jeans down his thighs, she unzipped her boots and slid her own jeans over her curvy hips, then let them join the tank as they were tossed to the side. Jon groaned as he saw her clothed in nothing but a red lace thong. He guided her back down to the bed taking her nipple in his mouth, biting hard enough to cause her to yelp, while his hands tried to remove the last offending barrier between them. The thong went flying as Katie wrapped her legs around him pulling him inside of her, already wet from her desire for him. He entered with a force that caused her to scream out his name, pushing her to the head of the bed.

"JON! Oh God!" She yelled. He plummeted into her over and over again as she dug her nails into his shoulders, unable to think. He threw his head back with a deep groan as he lost all ability to think rationally.

His almost violent motion caused Katie to hang on to him for dear life, her demands of, "Fuck me, Jon. Harder!" were followed shortly by her screams as the tremors of her climax rocked her body. Feeling like she was about to pass out she closed her eyes, letting the wave carry her away. Jon continued driving into her, feeling his cock squeezed by the muscles of her vagina as she came again. He felt himself about to explode as he drove his cock deep into her, filling her with his cum as he threw his head back and yelled at the top of his lungs.

His release echoed in the room as he dropped on top her, dripping in sweat.

Katie, finally able to speak after her breath slowed a bit, said, "My God, Jon. What was that?"

Jon lifted his head looking down at her, noticing her lips were slightly bruised and her breast sporting his teeth marks. "Oh baby, I am so sorry. Did I hurt you? I don't know what got into me." He apologized as he ran his finger lightly over lips.

"Don't be sorry. Just hold me." she whispered. He lay beside her wrapping his arms around her as he pulled her to him. She was slightly shaken at his pure animal lust, but couldn't fault him since she had been carried away by the same demons. She took a deep breath, smelling his physical aroma from the show and aerobics afterward. He was intoxicating, doing things to her mind and body she didn't know were possible. A small part of her wondered briefly if she could survive his energy. Well, hell, she said to herself, she was damn willing to try.

Jon whispered into her ear, "Baby, you drive me crazy. I can't seem to control myself around you." he said, smoothing her hair back. He sat up slightly, looking down at her, "Please forgive me. I never want to hurt you or scare you. That would kill me."

She smiled sweetly up at him, "Cowboy, I can ride the wildest of stallions, no worries." She said, her lips still red and bruised from his rough assault.

"Oh really....." he said, his curiosity peeked. "And just how many stallions have taken you for a ride, my sweet?" he inquired, slight jealousy showing through. He knew she was just messing with his mind, but he also knew the thought of her with anyone else would completely kill him, or drive him to a total rage.

Liking the sense of power she had over him, yet slightly caught off guard by the possessive look in his eyes, she knew for a fact if any guy even attempted to look at her in a less than proper way, he would beat them within an inch of their life. The realization left her feeling a bit uneasy, but she pushed it back into the corner of her mind, choosing instead to revel in the moment.

"Put it this way, I have one stallion that needs breaking, and I'm going to concentrate all my effort on him." She said, her voice sugary sweet. She could play his game.

Jon laughed at her comeback, God, she drove him wild. He vowed to take her for wildest ride of her life. "Baby, this stallion can't be broken." He said, teasing her.

Her expression turned serious, "Cowboy, this stallion is already under my spell." With that she left him in the bed as she padded toward the bathroom. A groan escaped his lips as her gorgeous ass tantalized him with its sway as she walked away.
